When calling in a student absence please use our 24-hour absence line 419-937-2802 and leave your name, students name, grade and the reason for the absence. When your student returns to school, a note with the dates of absence, the reason for the absence, and parent signature must be turned in to the office.

Olympic Friday - Let's see your class colors - wear your Olympic shirt and/or color 7th - light blue, 8th - lime green, 9th - royal blue, 10th - orange, 11th - burgundy, 12th white
Monday - May 7th - SADD is sponsoring the "Arrive Alive Tour". There will be a van parked outside of school and under a tent. Students will be able to get behind the wheel and wear goggles that demonstrate the impact of driving impaired or distracted. Televisions will be showing what the drivers see and scrolling statistics for distracted drivers and accidents.
Thursday - May 10th - SADD is bringing together local fire departments and EMS squads to host a "Mock Crash" at the football field.
Theme Contest - Students - We are looking for a theme for next school year! If you are creative, clever, imaginative, or just have a great idea - we want to hear it! The theme should be something short and to the point, that will help to remind students and staff throughout the year to stay focused on our goal of positive character traits! It can incorporate our PRIDE acronym or be something completely new! Yoiu also can submit more than one idea. The winning theme author will receive lunch, with 3 of their friends, at the Fort Ball Buffet on Mr. Miller. Also, you will receive a free PBIS shirt for next school year featuring your theme. Please submit your ideas, with your name, to Ms. Searles in the office. Deadline is May 11th at 3:00 PM

Mrs. Bloom is helping this Summer with a Science Camp. She is looking high school students that would like to help with Camp Invention. They are called Camp Leadership Interns. Leadership Interns will receive formalized, online leadership training. They will earn up to 40 volunteer hours, receive a letter of recognition from the United States Patent and Trademark Office and have an exciting, fun week. Being a Leadership Intern provides a good resume and college application builder. Please see Mrs. Bloom if you are interested.
Talent Show - The NHS K-12 Talent Show will be held on May 19th.
Fall 2018 Vaccinations, it is required for all incoming Seniors to have the Quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine before school starts. All incoming 7th graders are required to have one dose of Tdap and Meningitis vaccine before school starts. Please plan on scheduling your child's appointment today to ensure they are up-to-date on the vaccines they need before school starts in August.
Please do not open doors for anyone trying to enter the building...other students, parents, visitors, delivery people etc. Please direct them to enter the office doors. This is a very important part of our security for our building.
