When calling in a student absence please use our 24-hour absence line 419-937-2802 and leave your name, students name, grade and the reason for the absence. When your student returns to school, a note with the dates of absence, the reason for the absence, and parent signature must be turned in to the office.

PROM - Tomorrow, April 26th is the last day to reserve a spot for dinner and after prom. Please make sure you see Mrs. Hoffman ASAP to pay and reserve your spot.
5K fun run/walk on Saturday, April 28th. Runners and walkers will gather at the Scarlet Gym with the run starting at 10:00 AM. A $5 donation is requested. All donations will fo to help struggling military families.
Seniors - If you are planning on entering the military after graduation, please stop by the office to provide that information.
H-L Girls Basketball Program Fundraiser - Support H-L and take a FREE test-drive. Ford Motor Company will donate $20 per test-drive to the Girls Basketball Program. Student Council - Any student in grades 7-11 who is interested in becoming a member of student council next year should see Mrs, Jury for more information. The next and last student council meeting will be May 15th at 7:15 am and officers for next year will be elected.
Mrs. Bloom is helping this Summer with a Science Camp. She is looking high school students that would like to help with Camp Invention. They are called Camp Leadership Interns. Leadership Interns will receive formalized, online leadership training. They will earn up to 40 volunteer hours, receive a letter of recognition from the United States Patent and Trademark Office and have an exciting, fun week. Being a Leadership Intern provides a good resume and college application builder. Please see Mrs. Bloom if you are interested.
Talent Show - The NHS K-12 Talent Show will be held on May 19th.
Last year, an average of 3 people died per day in car crashes. Knowledge is the only way to combat these tragedies. In an effort to make our students more aware of dangers associated with driving, H-L will host a "Mock Crash" scenario on Thursday, May 10th (rain date Friday, March 11th). Please be aware that the EMS from Bascom and New Riegel, local fire departments, State Highway Patrol Officers, Seneca County Sheriff's Department, Seneca County Echo Unit, Harrold Floriana Funeral Home, and St. Vincent's Life Flight will be on site for this event. Mark your calendars for this important event that will demonstrate how decisions that drivers make can have a lasting impact.
Open Gym & Lifting for Volleyball and Girls Basketball will be every Tuesday and Thursday 6-8 in the Scarlet Gym for any 7-12 grade girl not in a spring sport.
Fall 2018 Vaccinations, it is required for all incoming Seniors to have the Quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine before school starts. All incoming 7th graders are required to have one dose of Tdap and Meningitis vaccine before school starts. Please plan on scheduling your child's appointment today to ensure they are up-to-date on the vaccines they need before school starts in August.
Please do not open doors for anyone trying to enter the building...other students, parents, visitors, delivery people etc. Please direct them to enter the office doors. This is a very important part of our security for our building.
