Please use our 24-hour absence line 419-937-2802 when calling in a students absence, leave your name, students name, grade and the reason for the absence. When your student returns to school, a note with the dates of absence, the reason for the absence, and parent signature must be turned into the office.

JH Spring Concert - May 6th at 7:00 PM

Senior Award Night - May 7th. By Invitation: Dinner 6:00-6:30 Awards at 6:45 pm

Junior/Senior Prom - Saturday, May 11th, Doors open at 5:30 pm- Grand March is at 6:00 pm and King & Queen Crowned at 7:00 pm

Underclassman End of the Year Awards - Date change - Tuesday, May 14th.

         Grades 7-8 at 8:15 am     Grades 9-11 at 9:15 am.

Seniors Last Day - Monday, May 20th.

Seniors Graduation Practice - Wednesday, May 22nd at 9:30

Last day of School - K-11th, Friday, May 24th.

Graduation - Class of 2019 - Sunday, May 26th 1:00 pm

Friday - Dodgeball Tournament Day - Dress for war...teams will battle it out.

The Student Council is sponsoring the 10th Annual Ian Kuhn Dodgeball Tournament on Friday afternoon, May 10th. Start thinking about your teams now as we will begin to have sign-ups. We will plan to take the first 18 teams. The cost will be $20 per team. Deadline to register will be Friday, May 3rd. Last year we raised about $500 for the Ian Kuhn Scholarship. We would like to collect at least $500 if not more, again this year. To help us reach this goal, we will be asking for donations at the gym doors on the day of the tournament. All money collected does go to the scholarship fund in Ian Kuhn's name.

Jostens has announced a new promotion to run next school year. Jostens has partnered with Adidas to be able to provide a free custom backpack with our school mascot/logo for every class ring purchased on our in-school order day only this coming fall.

Oakley Sunglasses - Fundraiser for the Senior class WIN a pair of Half Jacket 2.0 XL black Oakley Sunglasses. Retail Value $133. Raffle tickets are $1 each and are being sold in the office. Drawing will take place in May.

PopSockets - The Junior Class is having a fundraiser and selling H-L Chieftains PopSockets for your mobile device. PopSockets are $12 each. You can purchase them from Mrs. Gleinas, Mrs. Hoffman or in the office.

Ford Drive 4 UR School Fundraiser - Saturday, May 18th 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at Reineke's Tiffin Ford in Tiffin. H-L will receive $20 per test drive (up to $6,000) from Ford Motor Company towards the Elementary, Senior Class and Athletic Boosters! Support H-L and take a FREE test drive! 

Graduation Invites - There are individual ones for sale for $1 in the office.

SENIORS: Please continue to check the scholarship page, several scholarships have been updated recently.

***All students must park in the student parking lot and use the student entrance only.    Do not drive behind the school.

Traveling Ensemble - Tuesday & Thursday at 7:15 am

FFA - 2nd Friday at 6:15 am

REMINDER: Please do not open doors for anyone trying to enter the building...other students, parents, visitors, delivery people etc. Please direct them to enter the office doors. This is a very important part of our security for our building.
