Please use our 24-hour absence line 419-937-2802 when calling in a students absence, leave your name, students name, grade and the reason for the absence. When your student returns to school, a note with the dates of absence, the reason for the absence, and parent signature must be turned into the office.

***Important Dates***

Ohio State Testing - April 9th & 10th - English 7, English 8, English 9, and English 10

April 24th & 25th - Math 7, Math 8, Algebra, and Geometry

April 29th & April 30th - US Studies and Government

May 2nd & 3rd - Science 8 and Biology

Testing times are 8-10:00 am, Students that are NOT testing may follow the 2hr delay schedule and report to school at 10:00 am. School buses will be running at the normal time, so any student that must ride the bus, but is not testing, will report to the cafeteria for study hall from 8-10 am.

Jr/Sr H-L Olympics -  Friday, April 12th at 12:30 pm.

Spring Break  - April 15-19th - No School for students!

8th Graders - Washinton DC Field Trip - April 28th - 30th.

Senior Award Night - May 7th. More information will be coming soon.

Junior/Senior Prom - Saturday, May 11th, Invitations have been handed out.

Underclassman End of the Year Awards - Thursday, May 16th.

         Grades 7-8 at 8:15 am     Grades 9-11 at 9:15 am.

Seniors Last Day - Monday, May 20th.

Last day of School - K-11th, Friday, May 24th.

**************************************************************************************************Congratulations to our H-L Band for making it to State for back to back years.  They will be performing at Findlay High School Friday, April 26th at 4:00 pm.  Good luck to them all!

Wednesday, April 24th, students are asked to wear Purple in honor of military families in our area. We are very proud that H-L has been given the "Purple Star" award by the State of Ohio. The "Purple Star" award is for military-friendly schools that show a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation's military. Show your support for families that dedicate so much to our nation by wearing purple on Wednesday, April 24th.

Also, a special congratulations to Kayla Reinbolt for winning the “Best of Show” ribbon for her Pencil (Multi Colored) Objective drawing.

Again, congratulations to all art students whose artwork placed at the 2019 Seneca-Wyandot County Art Show, and thank you to all other art students who had their artwork displayed.

SADD - is sponsoring a "Smart Choice, Spring Break" giveaway. Students that sign a pledge to make safe and smart choices during spring break and over the summer months will have their names put into a drawing for many warm weather prizes. Names must be turned in by Wednesday, April 10 at 3:00 to be entered for a prize. The names can be turned into the high school office. Winners will be announced Thursday, April 11th.

Oakley Sunglasses - Fundraiser for the Senior class WIN a pair of Half Jacket 2.0 XL black Oakley Sunglasses. Retail Value $133. Raffle tickets are $1 each and are being sold in the office. Drawing will take place in May.

PopSockets - The Junior Class is having a fundraiser and selling H-L Chieftains PopSockets for your mobile device. PopSockets are $12 each. You can purchase them from Mrs. Gleinas, Mrs. Hoffman or in the office.

Ford Drive 4 UR School Fundraiser - Saturday, May 18th 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at Reineke's Tiffin Ford in Tiffin. H-L will receive $20 per test drive (up to $6,000) from Ford Motor Company towards the Elementary, Senior Class and Athletic Boosters! Support H-L and take a FREE test drive! 

Graduation Invites - There are individual ones for sale for $1 in the office.

SENIORS: Please continue to check the scholarship page, several scholarships have been updated recently.

***All students must park in the student parking lot and use the student entrance only.    Do not drive behind the school.

FFA - 2nd Friday at 6:15 am

REMINDER: Please do not open doors for anyone trying to enter the building...other students, parents, visitors, delivery people etc. Please direct them to enter the office doors. This is a very important part of our security for our building.
